Meals Included No meals included

Day 2: Experience Cairo

Immediately following breakfast, you will join your guide and your driver for a full day of sightseeing. The renowned Giza Plateau, the last of the original seven wonders of the ancient world, is a great place to start your day. The Great Pyramid of Khufu, also known as Cheops to the ancient Greeks, is visible here. You will have the opportunity to see the pyramids of Khafre (Chephren) and Menkaure (Mykerinos) in addition to Cheops. The famous Sphinx is another amazing, yet enigmatic, structure on the Plateau. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is the next destination on your tour. Designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the museum was built in the neoclassical style. Inside the museum, you can browse over 120,000 artifacts from various periods, including the pre-dynastic era, all the way through the Greco-Roman era. Enjoy the only surviving image of Khufu, who was the creator of Egypt’s Great Pyramid. Also inside are the funerary treasures of King Tut, statues of King Akhenaten (the heretic king), and much more! If you have ever been curious about ancient Egyptian culture, the museum is a great place to start! Many people particularly enjoy learning about the art of mummification. The Hanging Church in Coptic Cairo will be your next destination. The fact that this basilica church is situated atop the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon served as the inspiration for its name. Visit the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, which is situated in Cairo's Islamic neighborhood, to cap off your day trip. One of Cairo's primary attractions is this large souk. Lastly, return to the hotel to spend the night in Cairo. Included in Meals Breakfast/Lunch

Day 3: Fly to Luxor and lose yourself.

Day three of the Cairo and Dahabiya Nile Cruise will begin with a drive from your hotel to the airport for your short flight to Luxor. When you land in Luxor, you will once again be met by your Egyptologist guide and a driver who will take you to visit the largest place of worship ever built, the magnificent Karnak Temple complex. This temple was originally known as Ipet-isut, which translates to "The Most Sacred of Places." In reality, Karnak is a complex of temples that took over two millennia to construct. The complex was constructed by pharaohs from generation to generation. Take in the entire temple tour, beginning with the Hypostyle Hall, which has a virtual forest of enormous pillars. Proceed to the Valley of the Kings after enjoying a relaxed lunch at a local restaurant. Numerous magnificent tombs that are carved deep into the rock and are brimming with rich decorations and treasures for the pharaohs to use in the afterlife can be found in the valley. Visit the magnificent temple at El Deir El Bahary, which was constructed for Queen Hatshepsut, to cap off this day of sightseeing. She was the only female pharaoh, and her temple rises from the plain in a series of terraces and finally merges with the limestone cliffs around it. Next, you will transfer to Esna, where you will board and spend the night on your Dahabiya riverboat. Meals Included Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Day 4: Cruise to Esna and on to the Speos of Hormoheb

From Esna, you will continue your Cairo and Dahabiya Nile Cruise to Edfu, where you will disembark for a horse-drawn carriage ride to the magnificent Temple of Horus. Following this enjoyable outing, you will be brought to the amazing Edfu souk, where you can enjoy some fantastic shopping or just take in the sights and sounds while strolling around. We eventually continue until we arrive at the Speos of Hormoheb. Dinner will be provided on the premises following exploration and extensive photography of this historic chapel. This makes for a very special experience since the structure is not only right there in front of you, but it will also be illuminated. Spend the night on board the Dahabiya. Meals Included BreakfastLunchDinner

Day 5: Cruising the Nile River

You will sail to Kom Ombo on the fifth day of your Cairo and Dahabiya Nile Cruise tour package to see the Temple of Sobek. In reality, this intriguing complex is made up of two temples, one of which is a mirror image of the other. Both had to be constructed exactly the same way because they were devoted to two distinct gods. Following your tour of these amazing buildings, you will sail to a small, peaceful island in the Nile River. Dinner will be served on the island, which coincidentally is just a short distance from Aswan. Spend your night on the Dahabiya. Meals Included BreakfastLunchDinner

Day 6: Aswan Sightseeing

After breakfast on board on the sixth day of your Cairo and Dahabiya Nile Cruise vacation, you will disembark for a tour of Aswan's well-known sites, including the Temple of Philae and the quaint Aswan souk. A special farewell dinner will be served on this final day of your cruise, complete with some amazing Arabic and Oriental music. Enjoy your last night on board. Meals Included Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Day 7: Your Day of Departure Has Arrived

All good things come to an end, and regrettably, so must your trip to Cairo and Dahabiya on a Nile cruise. Savor a delicious breakfast as you let your thoughts linger on all of the wonderful things you've done lately and make a self-promise to come back. You will be picked up and driven to the airport for your flight home via Cairo from Aswan Airport following breakfast. Say goodbye to Cairo and Egypt and take off into the sunset with lifelong memories. Included in Meals Breakfast
